Hello Friends and Family,
We are happy to announce the reopening of FAST Basketball Academy starting May 19! As the state moves closer to normalcy, we plan on moving into phase one of reopening, including new guidelines to make a safe environment for everyone. Specifically:
· All training will be without contact between players and coaches
· Players will remain 6ft from each other during all sessions.
· Players will need to bring their own water bottle and basketball, as water fountains will be shut down.
· Parents are instructed to drop players off and to remain outside so the gym will remain under the mandate ordered by the state.
Moreover, we will be offering small group sessions limited to 9 players with an emphasis on individual development. Our groups will be divided by skill level, so no student will feel out of place or unchallenged. Due to the uniqueness of our situation, we believe that our coaches can highlight new techniques and reinforce skills a player may already know better than ever before. Groups include:
· FUNDAMENTAL – Beginners or Players that have a base knowledge of the game, but would like to improve their fundamentals in regards to tighter ball handling, greater shooting mechanics, and more efficient footwork etc.
· SKILL – Players with a good understanding of how to play, but are looking to achieve the next level. This group will focus on more advanced techniques, as well as certain philosophies to make the player make more cerebral decisions, such as angles, how to influence your defender, and how to create a rhythm as a shooter.
· ADVANCED – Players looking to fine-tune their skills. These players know their strengths and weaknesses, but are looking for a way to overcome the latter. Along with learning elite-level techniques, this group will sharpen skills to make the tools these players have more consistent.
AGE IS NOT A FACTOR. Groups will be filled with players of different ages, but with similar skill.
We will have sessions available from 9-12 AM and 5-8 PM on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays. Players will be able to choose whether they will like to work in the morning or evening. The session is $15 and will be an hour so groups can interchange safely. As we are limited to 9 players per group, we suggest scheduling beforehand to reserve your spot in the group. To reserve your spot, call one of our numbers below. Let’s get back to work!
